Latrodectus pallidus is a spider from the Black Widow family, which can be found in the steppes of Central Asia and in desertic regions in North Africa and the Middle East.
Its venom causes latrodectism, due to the presence of latrotoxins in its composition: α-Latrotoxin and α-Latroinsectotoxin, initially found in Latrodectus tredecimguttatus.
